The Department on work with international students was set up in 2007 as part of the Deputy Rector’s office on International Relations and Social Issues with the aim to advance, promote and strengthen the work with international students, to pay constant care and attention.

 

The Department is responsible for hosting international students enrolled in the Academy and introducing them to the educational process to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the existing law, collecting their personal data, checking their class attendance, teaching process, exams and tests.

 

According to the decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic dated March 19, 2007, there was established the State Migration Service of the Azerbaijan Republic to enforce the state policy in the field of migration, develop migration management, control conformity and security of international visitors in line with the country’s legislation. Because of that the Department started cooperation with the ASMS resulting in broadening the Department’s activity, providing more thoughtful approach to international student’s care and needs by the state that ultimately brought a positive outcome.

Currently the Academy provides training for international students from America, Sweden, Turkiye, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Georgia and other countries.
